How did I find that I actually don’t like hot climate?! 😩
It may seem obvious since I grew up in Siberia. But it doesn’t work this way with me and I frankly didn’t know that until I found it out.
You know girls that straighten their curly hair and curl their straightened hair? 🤪It is the human being nature to long for something new, something that one has never tried or had. I’m sure it works the same way with the climate – those born in cold long for warm climate and those born in heat……actually I don’t know what they may long for, since I was born in cold after all😁
So, the only way to know what you like is to try. So I did. As a photographer I took orders and worked in 10 states of 4 different climate zones. Adding my russian experience …. yes, I definitely know how and where I want to live and work☝️
Of course I didn’t mean to learn weather conditions through working in 10 states, I just wanted to make as many of my clients happy as possible and agreed to travel as far as I could to make another photoshoot.
What it was like to work in 10 states?
Gee, I felt like James Bond being sent in different parts of the country to complete missions😎
Taking it seriously, it was:
🙃Physically tiresome!
Sometimes I had to drive for 20 hours in a row to get to the location and shoot afterwards. I didn’t have permanent home for months.
🙃Amazingly interesting and absorbing!
In this way I learned America (or at least some significant part of it), I got acquainted with people and saw that each state has its own cultural values, traditions, its energy! I’ve seen so many cities, landscapes, awesome places and brilliant ideas for shooting.
🙃Educative!
I had such a profound training of my skill to see identity and uniqueness of any person. I found my feature! I got how and where I want to live finally😄
So what I want to say, my friends, is that if you are ever at a loss standing on the cross-roads knowing nor where to go nor what to do – just try to travel somewhere! Most probably, enlightening may find you on the very second state and you won’t need to follow my long route😁
