Once Bahama sharks sent me back to Russia!
Recently I shared some insights on what and who made a photographer of me. You know I forgot to mention sharks! They also had partially their fin in the pie!
Long time ago I started to live in America and look for my place in the world. These were hardships. I desperately wanted to start my business, was madly in love with photography and absolutely didn’t know what to do🤷🏼♀️ So I worked. With hindsight I now see I worked flat out. I was a barista for 45 hours per week and devoted all my weekends to photoshooting. So 8 months passed.
My hardships ended with me resting on the bathroom floor, flat iron in my hands nearly weeping with fortune. The newly married couple whose marriage I was supposed to shoot changed their minds, so I didn’t have to work on that Sunday!
I got severely ill..😬
But for self analysis and reflection I was aware that I didn’t need any pill. Vacation was prescribed🏖 ⠀
A very meaningful event took place – it was my first separate travel on my own dime. It was my first airplane flight, I was about to see the ocean! I was just bloated with feeling of pride and confidence……unless I left my wallet with all the cards and money in the airport as gracefully as I only could perform! 🤦🏼♀️
During the flight through the airplane window I saw the color of the ocean. Dear heart! I was sure the ocean was photoshopped! So blue❤ As a native siberian I truly believed there was only one liquid in the universe as blue as this one – cooling fluid. All the water I have ever seen were mostly black like ponds and rivers, seas were somewhat green, but the ocean color was simply unearthly🤩
It happened quite a long time ago,but I still draw inspiration out of these memories.
I lived at professional diver’s place. Sure, he offered to swim with sharks and ocean turtles. Did I mind to be bitten by huge ravenous fish? Things only could get better!
On my return I quitted the job and went to Russia for 4 months. I studied photography, videography, styling, makeup, and graphic design. To be 100% prepared for when I am to the USA🎉
Can you believe the sharks whispered a business plan onto my ear? 😏
